The following are our
conditions of sale. These terms are correct at
the time of publication of this website however
we reserve the right to change or modify these
terms at any time without notice. Please email
us for our current terms and conditions of trade.
By ordering any parts or goods from us, you agree
to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Prices are subject to change without notice.
CONDITIONS OF DISPATCH
Freight charges will be added
at the applicable rate to all items purchased,
and these freight charges are at the expense of
the customer. The customer assumes all responsibility
for goods once dispatched or removed from our
warehouse. Goods may be insured by the applicable
freight company upon request by the customer at
the customers expense. Dispatch will automatically
be via companies regularly used by us. Goods shall
not be sent with any other carriers arranged by
the customer.
WARRANTY
All parts distributed by The Toy Shop Automotive
Imports at the time of leaving our premises, are
guaranteed against defective materials or workmanship,
but not against failure or damage arising from
faulty or incorrect fitting, incorrect application,
damage caused by other components or equipment,
or any damage caused by any means over which we
have no control.
The Toy Shop Automotive Imports disclaims any
liability for labour cost or other damage attributed
to the failure of parts supplied by us. The Toy
Shop Automotive Imports will replace free of charge
any parts that in our opinion after examination
by us are defective through faulty material or
manufacture, or refund monies, subject to the
following conditions:-
· All engines are guaranteed against major
faults only (such as excessive smoking, or oil
consumption, knocking etc) for a period of 30
days from date of purchase. We do not warrant
against "wear and tear" damage, eg end-float
in shafts, seal or bearing wear etc. However,
in respect to all engines, you must:
- ensure radiator is thoroughly cleaned and tested-
invoice must be kept as record;
- radiator and hoses to be in good condition;
- thermostat to be fitted - - invoice must be
kept as record;
- radiator to be of equal size and capacity as
the vehicle the engine originated;
- if engine is belt driven, a new belt must be
fitted by a qualified person- - invoice must be
kept as record;
- a heat tab is fitted to all engines. If removed,
the warranty shall be void;
- coolant to be used in engines- - invoice must
be kept as record;
- new oil and filter to be fitted prior to start-up-
invoice must be kept as record;
· Any unauthorised repairs or disassembly
of any kind will void the warranty;
· Turbochargers and coil over (and any
aftermarket) suspension are sold "as is"
and carry no warranty whatsoever;
· Any ancillary which is sold with a motor
is excluded from warranty (e.g. alternator, power
steering pumps etc);
· Parts used in race/rally applications
or any other form of competition shall void the
warranty;
· The use of an after-market or non-standard
computer voids the warranty;
· Any modification from standard (including
boost levels) voids the warranty;
· All electrical items are tested prior
to dispatch and carry no further warranty as they
may be damaged due to incorrect installation or
application. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON ANY
ELECTRICAL ITEMS.
· "Half cuts" are sold "as
is". While we endeavor to ensure that they
are sold as complete as possible, we do not guarantee
that all parts are included with any half cut.
Further, only the engine and gearbox are covered
by the 30 day warranty subject to the above terms.
All other parts are provided as an "extra"
that you are not paying for, and as such, carry
no warranty or guarantee whatsoever.
· Used tyres sold with rims are an "extra"
that you are not paying for and hence carry no
warranty whatsoever.
· Bearings or synchros are wear items in
gearboxes, and are not covered by warranty.
· Warranty is NOT transferable;
All freight costs for warranty claims must be
paid by the customer.
GOODS RETURNED FOR CREDIT/WARRANTY
CLAIMS
Goods returned for credit/warranty will only be
accepted on the following conditions:
1. Please choose carefully as we do not refund
if the part you select doesn't suit your application,
or you change your mind. We may exchange OR issue
credit note to be used in store within a specified
time frame at the sole discretion of The Toy Shop
Automotive Imports;
2.Goods must arrive in similar condition as dispatched.
All and any warranty is VOID if goods are dismantled,
parts stripped or removed, damaged, or improperly
packaged.
3.Authorization for returns/warranty must be by
prior arrangement with The Toy Shop Automotive
Imports.
4.Goods approved for returns/warranty must be
received within 30 days of invoice date and accompanied
by:
A) Invoice number
B) Date of invoice
C) Reason for return
5. All freight costs on returns, irrespective
of the reason, must be pre-paid and/or borne by
the customer.
6. A 10% handling fee may be charged on goods
returned for credit.
Please note that all goods have been tagged with
identification marks as proof of originality.
No credit/refund will be issued for:
a) Items not purchased from us;
b) Product lines no longer handled by us;
c) Clear out items purchased from our "specials
list";
d) Dismantled parts;
e) Items specially procured for you (the customer)
and/or special orders
**NB. Receipt of goods into our warehouse is not
to be construed as any obligation by us to issue
a credit/refund.**
ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONS OF SALE
The above conditions of sale constitute the basis
of an agreement between our customers (you) and
us. Receipt of delivery of goods detailed on any
of our invoices shall be deemed to be an acknowledgment
of the acceptance of the above the above terms
and conditions of sale.
